The Menu Wizard uses your projects and templates to produce a menu. In the templates, you can position placeholders for your project. Later the project will replace the Menu Wizard when creating the menu with the actual projects.
A template consists generally of up to three pages. Each of these three pages is either a title, a repeat or an end page. In the properties of the respective page, you can specify its type.
You can use the different page types in the following ways:
Title page |
This type of page is displayed only at the beginning of the menu level, to which you have applied the template. On this page you can offer a few words of introduction and help your presentation off to a successful start. A template can still function without a title page. |
Repeat page |
Repeat pages are the more important type of page in a template. If the Menu Wizard replaces the project placeholders in your template with real projects, the repeat page will be repeated in the final menu as often as is required for the project. You can use them to design a project in its entirety without a title or an end page. However, there must always be at least one repeat page. |
End page |
You can use end pages to display your last words or a final image for your menu. Pages of this type are always displayed at the end of a menu sequence. |
You can always create more pages of one type in your template. The Menu Wizard always uses the first searchable page of that type for title and end pages.
For repeating pages, in the menu setting you can set which repeating page the Menu Wizard should use, if your template has severable pages of this type.
When you assign a chapter to a chapter or a template which has no template, the Menu Wizard automatically uses the parent template. Since this template may contain a title page and an end page, the Menu Wizard also generates a sub-menu with a title and end page. This behavior is however often undesirable since the title page is generally the first and only page on a menu of this kind. The same applies to the end page. You can change this behavior regarding the use of the title and end page and the selection of a repeating page by clicking on the respective chapter and then on the “menu” or “sub-menu” tab. You can prevent the use of a title and/or an end page by deactivating the point “use title page” or “use end page”. |
