Variables

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

When you are designing a template, you can define variables that can later be replaced in the finished menu with your preferred content. In this way, you can use the same template for different menus, where you are using a variable rather than a fixed text in the template design. To make this possible, need to define variables for a template. You can do this in the template editor.

MenuWiz_Extras_Settings

1.Open the template editor with the template to which you want to add variables.
Then click in the “extras” menu, click on settings.

2.On the left side of the dialog box, click on “variables”. Now add the template variables by clicking on the button Btn_Plus.

4.Click the button DlgBr_Settings to make further adjustments to the new variable. In the dialog, specify what type of variable your new variable is. The following types are available:

String
This is a single-line text. Use this type for short texts, such as titles, headings and so on.

Date
This is your chosen date.

Text
This is multi-line text for any purpose.
Then enter a name for the variable that will later be displayed in the Menu Wizard's personalization's menu. If you do not put anything here, later on the name that you have chosen when you created your variables will be displayed.
You can also specify a description for the variable that will be displayed in the personalization menu.
